Sikkim. Bambusa nutans subsp. cupulata Stapleton: One clump of this species flowered at Payong village (altitude 3,900 feet; 27deg 06 min 02sec North Latitude; 88deg 25 min 93sec East Longitude) in the South district of Sikkim. I collected on May 10,2008 some inflorescence for my personal herbarium. Seeds are forming. Flowering cycle: 35 years (Poudyal, 2006).
