The spectrum of a particle in a 2D potential as a polar-angle-dependent well is investigated. One-electron states of 2D systems are considered within the framework of the simplest quantummechanical models. Such states can be realized by dusting the atoms of various substances which are posited on a substrate. (c) 2005 Pleiades Publishing, Inc.
