In the traditional manufacturing of vitreous resin products for the fabrication of boats and yachts,the discharge and charge of styrene represent one of the main harmful factors for both humans and the environment.The mostly known and adopted technical solutions for the monitoring and the destruction of this polluting substance consist in the realization of plant which is capable of great suction capacity (in particular,when working on large surfaces it is essential to capture the polluting substances) and,when requested by qualified authorities (ie:provincial and regional bodies),in the physical-chemical filtration from plants of absorption based on active carbon or on oxidation basic acid,in consideration that thermal destruction plants or catalytic post combustion plants are unlikely recommendable due to their extreme high handling cost given to the low quantity of polluting concentrations present on air input.
