2004-05: growth rate was 7.5 per cent, with the manufacturing sector at 8.1 per cent; gross domestic saving at current market prices increased to 291 per cent of GDP and the rate of gross capital formation to 30.1 per cent of GDP. 2005-06: GDP growthlikely to be 8.1 per cent with the manufacturing sector at 9,4 per cent ; agricultural growth bounced back to 2,3 per cent; inflation, as on February 11, 2006 was 4.02 per cent; non-food credit growing by over 25 per cent.
