TMK Ipsco plansto temporarily lay off all 112 employees atits Baytown, Texas, tubular steel finishingfacility because of low oil prices and heavyforeign imports, a spokeswoman saidFebruary 23.“The continued decline in oil prices andhigh levels of foreign imports has forced usto issue WARN notices to all 112 employees atour Baytown plant,” TMK spokeswomanMichelle Loomis said. She did not say if theplant’s operations would be idled.
