COMEX gold futures lost morethan $6 in a relatively quiet trading sessionon December 6, as a pushback in the US dollarand a drop in crude-oil prices put a dragon gold.Gold for February delivery, the activecontract, slipped $6.40 to close at $1,170.10/oz, while March silver was down $0.089 to$16.810/oz. “It was a combination of loweroil, slightly stronger dollar, and slightlyhigher [Tresaury] yields,” said a preciousmetalsanalyst, although he added thatoverall trading was subdued.
