Time-resolved VUV spectroscopy has been used to investigate the effects of impurities in a reversed field pinch operating with a resistive Shell. Results of electron temperature, impurity ion densities, particle confinement time and Z(eff) together with a description of the interpretation and the equipment are presented. [References: 9]
