A group of 38 hazardous material and pipeline safely associations wrote to President Bush Nov.21 urging him to appoint an administrator for the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration."We are concerned that the necessary and important work of PHMSA is not being accorded its proper status due to lack of senior leadership at the administrator level," the letter said.
