This first record of Meconema meridionale in Poland comes from Krakow, where several specimens were observed in the urban greenery of a housing estate in the autumn of 2013. A total of 24 adult specimens were collected, most of them within a relatively small area in the city district of Pradnik Czerwony, and two in the district of Podgorze. All specimens were recorded in circumstances indicating a relatively recent accidental introduction of this species.
