The reorganisation plan for LyondellBasell (Rotterdam / The Netherlands; www.lyondellbasell.com) filed with the New York bankruptcy court foresees continuation of all existing businesses, including polyolefins, propylene oxide and other petrochemical feedstocks as well as fuels and refinery products. Presented as the group prepares to emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, the plan must be approved both by the court and LyondellBasell's creditors. An initial court hearing is scheduled for mid-October, and an "intensive discussion" is expected, a spokesman for the group told PIE.
