The Environmental Protection Agency should better analyze dioxins and their health effects as it completes its reassessment of the chemicals,a National Research Council committee said in a report issued July 11.EPA also should better explain assumptions it made throughout its most recent draft reassessment and whether other assumptions might have led to different conclusions,according to the research council report,Health Risks from Dioxin and Related Compounds:Evaluation of the EPA Reassessment.
