The UK's collection rates for plastic pots, tubs and trays rose significantly last year, but recycling of plastic bottles only saw a modest increase, according to Recoup (Peterborough / UK; www.recoup.org). Its "2014 UK Household Plastics Collection Survey" found that the UK has collected more than 2m t of plastic bottles and 500,000 t of pots, tubs and trays since reporting began in 1994.
