A literature review presenting the general characteristics and classification (Fig.2) of titled modifiers is presented.It includes the mechanisms of actions of their particular groups [modifiers interacting with dispersion phase (Fig.3) or disperse one] and methods of syntheses of polyure-thane modifiers differing in structures (Fig.4),namely linear (Fig.5),star-shaped (Fig.6),comb-type (Fig.7) or hyperbranched ones.
