The South Korean company Lotte confectionery is planning to forge closer ties with its sister company Lotte Holdings, based in Tokyo, Japan with an aim to become the 5th largest confectionery company in the world. Following a bitter family dispute which has kept the two companies separated over recent years, Lotte Holdings and Lotte Confectionery are now cooperating in order to expand their presence in the global snack market.
