Sir-Tracheo-oesophageal fistula (TEF) is an abnormal communication between the trachea and the esophagus with or without esophageal atresia. The reported incidence is 1 in 3000-4500 births (1), and it remains a major challenge in neonatal anesthesia. TEF is often associated with other congenital anomalies (2).
