Rep.George Miller(D-Calif.),chairman of the House Labor and Education Committee,has called on the Occupational Safety and Health Administration to take immediate steps to revise the standard for process safety management of highly hazardous chemicals.The OSHA standard establishes requirements to prevent or minimize the consequences of catastrophic releases of toxic,reactive,flammable,or explosive chemicals.
