Fine paper prices in Southeast Asian and Hong Kong have been stable or down this quarter as demand ebbs and supply remains high. Uncoated fine paper (UFP) prices have dropped about $5/tonne, clocking in at $695-740/tonne in the region, while coated fine paper (CFP) prices have held steady at $670-715/tonne. Contacts did not ascribe the CFP stability to good demand, explaining that business for both grades has fallen in line with the season.
