The physicochemical laws of the formation of Fe-Pt and Fe-Au oxalates have been determined. For the first timefinely dispersed Fe-Pt and Fe-Au composite powders have beenfabricated by thermal reduction. The physicochemical andbiomedical properties of such powders are investigated. We showthat the powders are corrosion-resistant, are almost monodisperse,have a hydrophilic surface, are nonpyrophoric, are harmless, arebactericidal, and withstand sterilization temperatures. Theirmagnetic properties can be controlled during formation.
