摘要

Engineering thermoplastics increasingly are being used outdoors. Accelerated weathering procedures are used to predict the suitability of materials for particular applications and to predict their lifetimes. These procedures are designed to increase the intensity of factors that cause polymer degradation in the field: ultraviolet radiation, temperature, and moisture. In order to confirm the validity of the tests and to make lifetime predictions, the response of materials to these variables must be determined.
