摘要

The formation of polymer layers on solid surfaces through adsorption has gained much attention both in technological and academic fields. Zwitterion nd-functionalized polymers have been used as model compounds for studies on the adsorption properties and structural characteristics of brushes formed by end-anchored polymer chains. Such studies have an immense importance in the understanding of the principles governing colloidal stabilization, flocculation and separation of colloidal mixtures, polymer adsorption, nature of polymer modified surface interactions (i.e. lubrication and adhesion) and other related phenomena of major scientific and industrial interest.
