AEM 5700 or 3-(trimethoxysilyl)-propyldimethyloctadecyl ammonium chloride from AEGIS ENVIROMENTS is a very unique compound. It can be easily polymerized and bonds to various materials and fibers. Because this is a trifunctional monomer, a three dimensional durable network can develop or the covealent bonds are formed with reactive surfaces as shown in Figure 1.
