摘要

Environmental degradation of polymers is usually the principal criterion for determining their useful lifetime. Although a number of reviews have discussed oxidation, hydrolysis, and photodegradation of polymeric materials, only a paucity of data has been published on the influence of trace pollutants from combustion products. NO_x gases have been identified as one pollutant that can be particularly reactive to certain polymeric materials.
