Industries requirement of an energy efficient, lower maintenance, trouble free performance, higher reliability and lower NPSH centrifugal pump kept continuous pressure on competitive manufactures in last century. The manufactures had taken it as a challenge and came out with the pumps satisfying all the stipulated needs of industries, but unfortunately, due to lack of understanding about the "Minimum flow" requirement for centrifugal pump led to few failures and put the question mark on the high reliability and trouble free operations. As a matter of fact, each centrifugal pump does require" minimum safe flow" to enhance higher reliability, low vibration, noise less operation and trouble free performance. Now, pump manufactures do recommend "minimum safe flow" with each pump model to provide longer trouble free, lower maintenance and high performance pump operation. Undoubtedly, it is a proven fact that minimum flow loop protects the pump against failure, therefore, if is religiously provided with most of bigger capacity and high speed & head centrifugal pumps in industry with fewer exceptions.
