Located just outside of Ballarat, Victoria, Yendon was the nominated destination for the first Hydroponic Farmers Federation (HFF) farm visit of 2011. For those in attendance it was an opportunity to visit the home of Yendon Gourmet Tomatoes, the family business of HFF Treasurer John Elford and his wife Debbie. The Elfords, who hail originally from Portland, Victoria, where they grew tomatoes in their backyard, made a courageous move 9 years ago. Forward to 2011 and the success of Yendon Gourmet Tomatoes is obvious.
