摘要

No-till farming is one of the most controlled forms of cultivating and uses minimum labour, physical and financial inputs. Tillage has been used for crop establishment for centuries. The aims are correct seed placement, good seed-soil contact and effective weed and disease control. But excessive tillage often results in the loss of soil structure and increases the risk of soil erosion from wind and rain. Each time soil is moved, by tine, disc or even a shovel, some of the small aggregates are damaged.
