Agronomic Technologies for Enhancing Productivity of Rabi Crops

摘要

WHEAT, rupeseed, mustard and sunflower are (be crops which occupy i:nponaut position during rabi and play a dominant role in the state economy. Partners' are getting reasonably good yield from these crops but there are wide gap almost in all the majorcrops between the potential yield and the average yield of the crops being Achieved by the farmers. There is a vast scope to further improve the production of rabi crops through the adoption of appropriate production technology. The Punjab AgriculturalUniversity, Ludhiana has developed improved production technology which could help farmers to bridge the yield gaps and also to save upon the Cost of production. Salient production techniques for various rabi crops are discussed briefly in this article,which have been found useful in efficient utilization of resources and enhanced crop productivity.
