摘要

The present investigation deals with the study oi seasonal and diurnal fluctuations of spore contents over an apple orchard showed the presence of a total of 72 microorganisms, out of which fungal forms were the most predominant components of the air-spora followed in discending order by bacteria and actinemycetes. The total population of air-spora was more in cool climatic conditions as compared to warm seasons and maximum population of microbes in diurnal pattern was cntercented either in the 'afternoon' (18.00 hrs.) or at 'noon' (12.00 hrs.) of exposures.The analysis of the air-spora indicated that 6 fungal pathogenic forms were caught from the atmosphere viz. Phyllosticta pinna, Phoma masrostoma, Nectria inventa, Pestolotia, edusts, Botryosphaeria ribis and Coniethecium Chomataspvrum. The maximum conldial population of these pathogenic fungi wsra encountered in the air at 'noon' hours of exposures.
