Bush bean is an important off-season vegetable of hills. Being leguminous vegetable, its pods are nutritious, attractive, better quality with special flavour, finds ready market in the plains and brings remunerative prices to the hill fanners. Thus there is a dire need to identify a variety which should be early, straight, long fleshy pods, less fibre content, pods dark green, free from stringy, diseases attractive pods and high yielding, there by helpful in achieving these aims in the breeding programme of bush bean.
