An experiment was caniedout to know the influence of planting depth corm weight, phosphorus aad their interactions on cormel and Dry Matter production of elephant foot yam. The different treatments tried in this experiment had significant influence onnumber and weight of cormelg per plant, average weigh and length of corme), yield of cormel, dry matter and moisture percentage of corm The shallow depth (20 em) has given maximum weight of cormels per plant. Weight of each cormel, length of cormel, total yield per hectare and moisture percentage of corm with minimum number of cormel per plant and dry matter percentage of corm. The bigger (600 gm) size of corm has minimum number of cormels per plant and dry matter with maximum weight of cormels per plant, weight and length of each cormel, yield of cormel and moisture % of corm. The higher dose of phosphorus (60 kg/ha) produced maximum value of above mentioned character except moisture % of corm, which is maximum with the lowest concentration of Phosphorus (30 kg/ha). The interaction DIW3P3 (20 cm planting depth + 600 gm corm size + 60 kg/ha P205) had the maximum weight of cormel per plant and each cormei. length and total cormel yield. While the combination D2WlP3 (30 cm planting depth + 200 gm cormsize + 60 kg/ha P205) has maximum Dumber of cormel per plant, dry matter % of corm with minimun moisture percentage.
