摘要

Basic methodical and instrumental aspects of theuse of laser-ellipsometric and photometric probes for observingthe nonstationary adsorption and corrosion processes of steelinhibition in aqueous solutions of phosphonic acid are given. Anautomatically operated kinetic laser ellipsometry with a high timeresolution and a sharp beam focusing at a controlled point on thesurface ensures an extremely high sensitivity to adsorption andcorrosion processes. Photometry allows one to monitor thecorrosion product concentration in the solution. The combinationof the two techniques can constitute an efficient, purely opticalalternative to traditional corrosion~lectrochemical methods.
