Rumours tend to flourish in a vacuum of knowledge nourished by ineffective communication. Repeated sufficiently, rumours take on a life of their own and, in some minds, morph into facts. Circulating within the Australian pest management industry are rumours about two of the industry's main entities: AEPMA (Australian Environmental Pest Managers Association) and PestCert. They are only circulating because people don't know or don't understand the facts. While the specifics of each rumour vary, there is a common theme: 'Why do we need to have both AEPMA and PestCert?'.
