摘要

When calculating the shear bearing capacity regarding to DIN 1045-1 all load bearing mechanisms beside the truss model are summarized in the concrete shear bearing contribution. In the last years an active discussion arose on the influence of the shear friction component on the shear contribution in Lightweight Aggregate Concrete (LWAC) and High-Strength Concrete (HSC). In research projects (1), (2), (3) the design rules for the shear capacity were extended to the application of LWAC and HSC. Main objectives were the crack distribution, the local and global crack topography, the crack widths and the parallel crack slip. The tests at the University of Leipzig and at the Aachen University of Technology performed on reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete beams with and without shear reinforcement showed, that the influence of the shear friction component has been partly overestimated in the present design rules to determine the shear bearing capacity.
