From "models of organization and management" (D.L. 81/2008): "organizational and management model for the definition and implementation of a corporate policy for health and safety (Article 6, c. I, letter, a) D.L. 231/2001), designed to prevent the misdemeanors referred to artt.589 and 590, 3rd c., of the Penal Code, committing violation of safety regulations and of the protection of health at work." The legislature has chosen a model based on Leg. 231 (liability of legal persons) while technicians and operators would have preferred a model based on the activities (technical and organizational) useful for protecting the health and safety of workers and associated management systems.
