摘要

This paper deals with analysis of measurement systems when only a few observers perform the measurements. It is shown that the standard model with random observer effects is not correct and may give misleading results, especially when the number of observers is small. To use an alternative measure for the gauge R&R, a 99 percent prediction interval based on the width is proposed. (9 refs.)
