摘要

DiffServ is a priority-based quality of servive (QoS) framework that enhances the ability of the Internet to support the requirements of new emerging multimedia applications. But the current routing architecture in lP-based networks does not support QoS requirements across multiple domains. Therefore, the QoS routing problem consists of finding an optimal cost path or set of feasible paths from a given source to a destination subject to one or more constraints on the path. The present research work proposes a scalable and robust QoS routing framework, referred to as d-median to enhance the ability of DiffServ to select paths that are more likely to support the QoS requirements of the underlying applications. The introductory part of the paper (Section 1) presents the approach of the work and the need for the same.
