A new decision support system (DSS) is developed with a dynamic set of input control decisions required at process stages,which are computed based on overall production objectives.Implemented as an interactive DSS,it significantly reduces the duration of transients,which in turn help increase the daily refinery production by more than 18%.(13 refs.)
