摘要

In order to sustain the competitiveness in higher education, quality assurance agencies are formed by most of the world nations. In the similar lines, in Australia, the Australian Universities Quality Agency (AUQA) was established. By the time AUQA was formed in 2000 with four key objectives, it was decided to review the performance of AUQA after a certain period of time. Hence, during 2005 - 2006, a review team was formed by AUQA itself with an aim to study the performance of AUQA as a quality assurance agency. However, in this study, the author has observed that the review team has flawed in so many ways. The author argues that the confidence of re view team in the soundness of the AUQA review is misplaced. As a result, it is of the opinion of the author that such review outcomes cannot be either generalized or followed by the counterparts across the globe who are also trying for such reviews.
