Control charts are used to monitor manufacturing process to identify non-conformances. To start with control charts were used for situations where the variable on attribute being monitored follows normal distribution. But in real life situations, variables or attributes may follow non-normal distributions. The control charts under normality condition may be misleading in such situations. Hence many control charts are proposed by various authors for various authors for control charts were the attribute or variable follows non-normal distributions. Among them some studies also proposed control charts Weibull percentiles using bootstrap method. However no studies have been carried out for proposing control chart life testing data that follows Weibull distribution. This article develops an attribute control chart for Weibull distribution by incorporating the truncated life test. (21 refs.)
