The importance of workbooks that are effectively used by business managers is presented. It is well known that the workbook application software, Microsoft Excel, is used by businesses around the world to provide managers with decision support information. Further, it is stressed as important for business students and managers to develop the skills to use workbooks and worksheets effectively to remain competitive in today's business environment. In this paper, the author has proposed a spread sheet to teach quantitative methods and advanced financial modelling techniques to undergraduate business students and operations management and business analytics to graduate students. Particularly, the topic of interest is on developing a scalable model to analyze expanding data sets using spread sheets. The data sets and the analysis model used are presented. The use of tools such as regression, charts and graphs for analysis are demonstrated in detail using the proposed workbook. (8 refs.)
