The function of cooling pump is to release and cool off the heat caused by cutting tools etc. The working, safety and energy saving must meet specified standards. The paper selects an index Cpn and also proposes an integrated process capability index (PCI) for the whole pump product family and describes the relation between PCI and process yield. (16 refs.)
