Most of the management system auditors have sound technical knowledge, but the human side of the auditing process can sometimes be a problem. This can be effectively overcome by using a some of the journalism skills so that elicit maximum in personal interviews. Journalism techniques can make conversational flow easy and help encouraging people to open up and provide important information. Hence these techniques can serve auditors usefully as they go through the tricky process of audit and assessment interviews. (14 refs.)
