摘要

After a summary of the principal existing modelling approaches, a few possible extensions to model more complex data structures are discussed. Simulation and analytical results are presented to clarify the interplay between estimated teacher effects and repeated outcomes on students over time. It is concluded that mixed models which account for student correlation over time are fairly robust to model misspecifications when schools have similar student populations.
