Software quality and IS project performance improvements from software development process maturity and IS implementation strategies
To study the impact of the capability maturity model (CMM) on certain critical factors in information systems implementation, software quality, and software project performance. The capability maturity model is the central framework for software quality and process improvement. The CMM is part of a more comprehensive software process improvement (SPI) initiative. The introductory part of the paper discusses the benefits of the CMM and its acceptance in several firms across global countries.
