This paper addresses two issues related to performance measurement in TQM environment. First is to identify the characteristics of performance measures and systems TQM adopters. The second aspect the paper deals with is the procedures to keep these measures and systems continuously updated. Here, the issues investigated are:Frequency of performance measures improvements,The mechanism of these improvements,Assignments of responsibility for creating, updating, and monitoring the performance measures, and The role of employee participation and training.
