Accelerated life test (ALT) are applied to generate the life data by applying varying stress levels higher than the normal, to get faster feedback on the reliability. After the test results are obtained using ALT then a model has to be built to predict the field reliability based on the test results. Many studies are available that helps extrapolate field reliability based on ALT data. If field stress on a product follows is considered as a random process it is challenging to extrapolate the reliability from ALTs. This paper connects all the necessary reliability engineering activities in an integrated process and comprehensive modeling framework, extends the modeling by using the cumulative damage rules, and illustrates the method with a real product example.
