The world's largest retail and grocery store operator, Walmart this week pledged to buy an additional $50 billion in US-manufactured products over the next 10 years. Walmart US pres/CEO Bill Simon said at a trade show that rising labor costs in Asia, and the volatility of oil and transportation costs were making the US a more viable production location for some production. "At the heart of our national political conversation today is one issue: creating jobs to grow the economy," Simon told the National Retail Federation's annual BIG Show.
