In a potential run-up spurred by a US government increase on dumping duties, pricing for specialty coated thermal paper rose this month in the USA, and market players readied for another increase next month and possibly a third one soon thereafter because of a supply shortfall. Thermal paper POS pricing rose another 2% in January to finish off a 4-5% roll increase that started last October and was fully implemented over four months, buyers and sellers said this week.
