Benchmark northern bleached softwood kraft (NBSK) market pulp prices held flat this month in the USA, maintaining a cyclical high of $l,030/tonne on the back of low producer inventories, contacts told PPI Pulp & Paper Week. In the US South, producers also held prices at unchanged levels with southern bleached softwood kraft (SBSK) at $990 even as domestic spot markets decreased more than their Canadian competitors.
