Paperworks announced this week that it will acquire CanAmPak, an Atlas Holdings company that is comprised of Strathcona Paper, a coated recycled boxboard (CRB) mill, Boehmer Box, a folding carton plant, and Lyft Visual, a digital printing and design firm. All three are located in Ontario. The company announced the deal on June 5, after ratings agencies Standard & Poor's and Moody's earlier rated a $90 million increase on $275 million sr secured notes due 2019, with the proceeds used to finance the acquisition — which is the third recent consolidation in the North American CRB market.
