摘要

We read with interest the report by Wessels et al. (2006) regarding the prognostic potential of transcranial Doppler (TCD) after cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). We agree that serial TCD examinations may be helpful to predict the clinical outcome, specifically the neurological outcome. This is of special significance, considering the growing demand for organ transplant donors that requires early identification of suitable candidates before multiple-organ failure settles in. However, this report raises some important issues.
